IAN BUTLER
Ian Butler, tenor, is currently studying music at Iowa State University, performing with the Iowa State Singers and the Iowa State Opera Studio. Notable roles with ISU include Tamino (The Magic Flute) and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi). Having grown up in Cedar Rapids, Ian was privileged to sing for Dr. Gerry Kreitzer in high school, and credits DK for fostering the desire to pursue music professionally. Along with other local venues, Ian has been involved in Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre productions including The Merry Widow, La Boheme, Carmen, La Traviata, and most recently Speed Dating Tonight!
