ELISABETH BIEBER
Mezzo-Soprano, Elisabeth Bieber, has been noted for her “spine-tingling” performances and her “warm, fluid [tone]… even in scale from top to bottom.”
Ms. Bieber’s operatic stage experience includes the roles of Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, Desireé Armfeldt in A Little Night Music and the title roles in The Rape of Lucretia and La Cenerentola. Elisabeth has served apprenticeships with Utah Symphony and Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Bel Canto at Caramoor and two seasons with Des Moines Metro Opera.
Ms. Bieber has served as an Instructor in Voice at Wartburg College, the University of Northern Iowa, Luther College. Currently Ms. Bieber is a Teaching Assistant for Diction for Singers, Principles of Voice Production and Non-Major Voice at the University of Iowa as a Graduate Iowa Arts Fellow and Doctoral Candidate in Voice.
