![]() The Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale and Artistic Director Gerald Kreitzer will perform their third concert of the season on Saturday, February 18, 7:30 PM, at Immaculate Conception Church, 857 3rd Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids. This Masterworks Concert will feature “Requiem” by Gabriel Faure and “Missa Brevis, K. 192” by W. A. Mozart. Soloists for Faure’s “Requiem” will be Dr. Bradley Barrett, prominent conductor, singer, and teacher, and Ms. Amy Farley, assistant choral director at Washington High School. The compositions will be accompanied by a string orchestra. Mozart’s “Missa Brevis K. 192” was written in 1774 in Salzburg, the culmination of Mozart’s “youthful” masses. The melody used in the Credo later became a theme of Mozart’s “Symphony No. 41, Jupiter.” Tickets for the concert are $12 in-advance and $15 at-the-door. All students, elementary through college age, are free admission. Advance tickets may be purchased at www.crchorale.org or from a Concert Chorale member. The Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale aims to promote choral music appreciation and develop musicianship by performing a broad repertoire of music while providing youth and community outreach opportunities.
