ABOUT THE CEDAR RAPIDS CONCERT CHORALE

The Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization offering choral music for everyone in our community. We invite participants of all ages, backgrounds and talents to be part of our group without auditions or fees.

The Chorale has been active since 1959, now in its 66th year, carrying out the
mission to intertwine first-class choral music appreciation and performance with fun and inclusiveness. Along with performing a broad repertoire of music with a true cross-section of our community’s adults, we also commit to engaging in new community outreach opportunities each year.

Over the past several decades, our performances have included:
  • 4+ concerts per season (including a masterworks, holiday concert, and more!)
  • Brucemorchestra, Pops, and Masterworks concerts with Orchestra Iowa
  • Cedar Rapids Municipal Band
  • Cedar Rapids Titans and Rough Riders National Anthem
  • New England Symphonic Ensemble at Carnegie Hall
  • Singing back-up for Barry Manilow in the US Cellular Center

MISSION: The Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale aims to promote choral music appreciation and develop musicianship by performing a broad repertoire of music while providing youth and community outreach opportunities.

VISION: To achieve artistic excellence in performing outstanding choral music.

All are welcome within the Chorale.  We promote membership without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, creed, service in the uniformed services, veteran status, sex, age, political affiliation, marital or family status, disability, pregnancy, genetic information, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
